Ron is an independent designer, who for many years has worked for international corporations like Airbus Group, Daimler Benz Aerospace and Vitra, having lived during this time in the UK, Singapore, Germany and Switzerland.

He met Melanie, who worked at Vitra Switzerland, during the first project briefing. They moved to Gundelfingen after the birth of their first child Izzy. Together they took it upon themselves to convert the barn in Gundelfingen, which had been in family possession (farming) for generations.

Through passion, natural balance and great eye for detail the hotel project became an instant success. Visitors from all over the world spend time with us, as much as the hotel’s interiors are frequently sought for foto shootings, filming and publications.
